PARENT & PLAYER EXPECTATIONS
Tri Cities Soccer Association endorses and supports a safe, fun, and educational experience for all participants. Players, coaches, and spectators have the responsibility to conduct themselves in a manner that supports this goal. TCSA has a “Zero Tolerance” policy with respect to poor sportsmanship for players, coaches, parents, and spectators. By resolution of the Board of Directors of Tri Cities Soccer Association, each coach, player, and parent shall agree to adhere to the Code of Conduct herein as a prerequisite to participation in this soccer program. All directors, coaches, and officials are charged with and instructed to carry out the enforcement of this Code of Conduct.
PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
I will play for fun, work to improve my skills, be a team player, and get along with my teammates. I will always be a good sport. I will respect coaches, teammates, parents, opponents, and officials. I will not dispute or argue with an official’s decision. I will not use obscene, abusive, or vulgar language in any manner toward anyone, at any time before, during, or after a game.
PARENT & COACH CODE OF CONDUCT
I will display good sportsmanship and always respect players, officials, coaches, and parents. I will act appropriately at all times and will provide positive encouragement in my comments for all players on both teams. I will be supportive after the game, win or lose, and I will recognize good effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship. I will not use obscene, abusive, or vulgar language in any manner toward anyone, at any time before, during, or after a game. I will not address a referee at any time, for any reason. I will show respect to the volunteers of the Association at all times and conduct myself appropriately.
CONDUCT VIOLATIONS
Any violation of this “Code of Conduct” can result in a red card being issued during the game or post game. A red card recipient must immediately leave the game field complex. The Tri Cities Soccer Association Conduct Review Committee will review all red card violations or events that may lead to a post game red card violation. A red card requires a minimum of a one game suspension and can result in a mandatory meeting with the committee, extended game suspensions, and up to a permanent expulsion from participation in the Association by offending parent(s), player(s), or both.
